How to play

Guess letters. Beat the clock.

The theme is your only prompt. Tap letters to guess them: every correct letter fills in everywhere it appears in the grid, and a wrong letter costs a life. Clear the whole grid before your lives run out.

Choose your level

Levels & lives

Rookie

6 lives

5 pts per 10s block

Room to breathe. Learn the rhythm.

Pro

5 lives

8 pts per 10s block

Fewer lives, sharper maths.

Legend

3 lives

10 pts per 10s block

Three mistakes. That's the whole budget.

Every level plays against the same 2:00 par time. Harder levels give you fewer lives but move points faster in both directions.

Scoring

How points are worked out

  1. Start from par: 100 points. Finishing exactly at the 2:00 par time with no lives lost scores 100.
  2. Time: every COMPLETE 10-second block away from 2:00 moves your score. Finish early and blocks are added; finish late and they are taken away. Part-finished blocks count for nothing — 129 seconds scores the same as 120.
  3. Lives: minus 10 points for each life lost, at every level.
score = 100 + (complete 10s blocks x level points) − (lives lost x 10)

Legend, 50s, no lives lost: 7 blocks early x 10 = +70 → 170 points.

Pro, 2:30, one life lost: 3 blocks late x 8 = −24, minus 10 → 66 points.

Rookie, 1:35, no lives lost: 2 complete blocks early x 5 = +10 → 110 points.

What counts

Attempts & boards

  • Your first attempt at the daily game is the one that counts, and it stands.
  • Archive grids allow one counted attempt each, ever.
  • Practice replays are always free to play but never affect scores, streaks or boards.
  • Leaderboards rank counted daily runs; play one day at a time to keep a streak.
